Position Title: Occupational Therapist
Department: Wellness Health Outcomes

Band Level: 10/11

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The incumbent of this position will adhere to all legislative requirements in order to fulfil the necessary requirements to support the Plant, Health Services and TSAM Employees.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Functional Capacity Testing, Return to Work and Suitability Assessments
• Disability, Incapacity and Z095 Case Management
• Ergonomics and Work Site Visits
• Work Readiness and Vocational Rehabilitation
• Executive Reporting
• Administration
• Customer Service/Team work

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Qualification:
    • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with HPCSA
    • Sound understanding of OT principles, OHS Act & Regulations
    • Proven ability in physical therapy for body strengthening, rehabilitation and physical performance improvement
    • WorkWell training is essential (plans to attend WorkWell FCE training will be accepted)
  2. Experience/ Knowledge:
     Experience in rehabilitation projects in an industrial environment will be an advantage
     Minimum 5 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy – experience in conducting assessments or working within an industrial environment will be an advantage
     Knowledge and understanding of H&S Management systems
     Computer skills (particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
     Accident / root cause analysis
     Presentation / training skills
